The focus of a Security Officer I is to approach and check identification of any person seeking to enter a Wind Creek Hospitality facility who appears to be under the age of 30 years. The Security Officer I walks the gaming floor and other areas on property. May transport guests in company vehicles. The Security Officer I is responsible for the security and safety of guests, team members and visitors. The Security Officer I is also responsible for the security and safeguarding of the casino’s property and assets. When posted at doors, acts as “first point of contact” with guests, greeting them as they enter the casino. This position involves a high level of guest contact and customer service.

Schedule:
Wind Creek Hospitality Security Teams operate 24 hours a day/7 days a week. Days/shifts are assigned to meet the needs of the organization, and are subject to change to meet the needs of the organization. Positions include week-end and holiday shifts.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identifies all under-age patrons seeking to enter any Wind Creek Hospitality facility by requiring valid identification for any patron that appears under the age of 30 years
- Walks the casino floor looking for under-age patrons
- Walks the casino floor looking for issues or problems requiring security attention
- Maintains focus and concentration in the face of distractions
- Follows and adheres to standardized operational procedures
- Controls alcoholic beverages and ensures that alcohol does not leave the property
- Exhibits enthusiasm and provides a warm welcome to patrons entering or leaving the building; Outgoing, friendly, helpful personality and a positive attitude- as to uphold WCH Values
- Prepares written reports to document incidents
- Transports guests in company vehicles
- Other duties & responsibilities as assigned
Job Requirements: (please ensure you meet the listed requirements prior to applying)
- High School diploma or GED required or currently enrolled and successfully complete a GED program within six (6) months from start date as a condition of continued employment
- Must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older
- One (1) year law enforcement, military, or other security capacity- required
- OR One (1) year of experience in a front of the house position within WC- required
- AND successfully complete at a minimum of 80% pass rate basic Security Officer training program within sixty (60) days of employment- required
- Must be able to meet and maintain a departmental physical fitness standard- required; the security department may conduct a test that is comparable to the below requirements:
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 100 lbs for a distance of 300 feet within 120 seconds
- Must be able to climb 4 flights of stairs in 80 seconds
- Must be able to run 350 ft in 90 seconds
- Annually re-test for all physical requirements
- A security incident scenario audition will be conducted to determine if the applicant possess the skill set to execute the following- required:
- Professional and courteous attention to a guest’s needs.
- Conduct a concise assessment of the situation issue and or incident
- Implement the appropriate response or action to resolve the incident or issue
- Provide a detailed written summary of the incident or issue. The summary must detail the following:
- Date, Time and location of incident or issue
- Parties involved in the incident or issue
- Details or facts regarding what took place
- Actions taken to resolve or rectify the incident or issue
- Must complete TIPS training and Title 31 training as required as a condition of employment
- Basic first aid, CPR and AED certification required within 60 days of employment
- Must successfully pass job interview, including a guest service audition and report writing excercise
- Must be able to stand and/or walk for entire shift
- Willing and able to work odd or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Willing to travel and participate in training as recommended or required
- Must have a Tribal Gaming License (or the ability to obtain and maintain a license) as a requirement for this position
- Must have willingness and ability to work in a smoke/secondary smoke environment
- Must have a current State driver’s license and an insurable driving record; for purposes of driving company vehicles-preferred
