The pastry cook is responsible for the production and/or plating of all elements of the dessert menu offerings under the guidance and standards of the Lead Pastry Chef.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare baked goods according to prescribed recipes and/or special requests
Prepare ingredients needed for bread, pastry, and/or dessert recipes as needed
Follow all prescribed portioning controls and par levels
Maintain food safety and quality standards
Ability to read a thermometer correctly and efficiently
Conduct daily pastry line checks.
Maintain menu item counts and communicate to Management and service staff when quantities fall below the restaurant-specific minimum quantity
Understand and follow the food allergy procedure and special orders/restrictions
Comply with all safety and sanitation guidelines and procedure
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Job Requirements: (please ensure you meet the listed requirements prior to applying)
High School diploma or GED required or currently enrolled and successfully complete a GED program within 6 months from start date as a condition of continued employment
Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
Basic understanding of or ability to learn basic sanitation and regulations for workplace safety
Basic understanding of or ability to learn food-handling techniques, preparation, and cooking procedures
Ability to work efficiently and quickly
Must be able to work well as part of a team
Must be able to work well under pressure
Ability to maintain personal cleanliness
Willing to work odd and irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
Willing to travel and participate in training as recommended or required
Must have a Class III Gaming License (or the ability to obtain and maintain a license) issued by the IGB as a requirement for this position
Must have willingness and ability to work in a smoke/secondary smoke environment
Base Pay:
Pay range - $16.50 - $20.65 (The base pay will depend on factors such as experience level and skillset.)
