Slot Operations Supervisor

Job Overview:

The Slot Supervisor supervises the daily operation of a shift including Slot Ambassadors and Slot Technicians.  The Slot Supervisor also assists guests in every way possible in order to ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Directly supervises Slot Ambassadors; Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the SOP’s, compliance and expectations guide
  • Interviews, hires and trains employees; plans, assigns and directs work; appraises performance; rewards and coaches employees; addresses complaints and resolves problems
  • Develops and monitors work schedules for Slot Ambassadors
  • Coaches, recognizes and holds employees accountable for meeting or exceeding the goals
  • Resolves employee and/or guest issues that arise during the shift; Communicates and escalates issues are warranted
  • Performs TITO fills and verifies jackpots as required by Minimum Internal Control procedures
  • Ensures that all logs, shift reports, documents and other required paperwork and forms are completed timely, accurately and are routed properly
  • Works effectively with other casino support personnel to ensure guest satisfaction and service quality
  • Maintains effective communication with all casino and property personnel as required
  • Assures compliance with all Internal Controls as well as Company, departmental and safety policies, procedures and regulations
  • Performs functions of Slot Ambassadors including verifying transactions as needed; Issues patron complimentaries in accordance with established guidelines
  • Resets machines and repairs minor malfunctions on slots
  • Maintains awareness and effectively communicates to staff, property-wide/company promotions, events and programs
  • Ensures the physical condition of the gaming floor premises is maintained in a safe, clean appearance
  • Ensures that all applicable Standard Operating Procedures, Minimum Internal Control Standards, Company Expectations and Safety Policies are adhered to at all times without deviation
  • Perform the duties and responsibilities associated with the Illinois Gaming Board Statewide Voluntary Self-Exclusion Program
  • Protects all assets with Slots Department
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

 

Job Requirements: (please ensure you meet the listed requirements prior to applying)

  • High School diploma or GED required or currently enrolled and successfully complete a GED program within 6 months from start date as a condition of continued employment
  • Must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older
  • Associate’s Degree in Related field– required
    • OR Two (2) years’ Supervisory experience– required
    • OR One (1) year experience as a Dual-Rate Supervisor in a PCI Gaming Department– required
    • OR Two (2) years’ experience in the hiring position’s Department– required
  • Two (2) years Slot Supervisory experience- required
  • Word and Excel skills required (a skills test will be administered and must successfully pass with a 70% or above)- required
  • Must successfully take and pass a timed math skills test
  • Must successfully pass job interview, including a guest service audition
  • Must be able to walk for the duration of the shift and at times may have to bend, stoop and kneel
  • Able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds required
  • Willing and able to work odd or irregular hours including nights, weekends, promotions and holidays
  • Willing and able to travel and participate in training as recommended or required
  • Must have an Occupational License (or the ability to obtain and maintain a license) pursuant to the Illinois Gaming Act and remain in good standing with the Illinois Gaming Board as a requirement for this position
