Job Overview:
The Surveillance Investigator specializes in proactively carrying out internal and external investigations to ensure the protection of casino guests and team members, casino assets, and the Tribe. The Surveillance Investigator will work with property management and local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies in gathering and reporting pertinent information and video surveillance to assist in legal proceedings in accordance with established company policies, procedures and objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitors sensitive areas and restricted access areas to ensure only authorized personnel enter those areas
- Accurately completes routine video reviews, reports, log entries, video reviews, and all other functions
- Monitors specific processes to ensure compliance with cash handling regulations and procedures
- Maintains an awareness of current regulations, controls, policies and standards for adherence and compliance with requirements
- Maintains security of designated areas and the confidentiality of all relevant information
- Reports any technical issues, suspicious behavior/activity, security and safety risks, any illegal activity, improprieties, and violations to the department management
- Utilizes necessary equipment and applications to identify, record, document and report illegal and unusual activities occurring in all gaming areas, non-gaming areas, and back of the house
- Reports all illegal and unusual activities to the department management
- Records video footage of any irregularities observed and generates reports accordingly
- Ensures compliance with Federal and State gaming regulations
- Conducts investigations of cheating, criminal activities, procedural violations and any matter that threatens Wind Creek assets
- Assists casino management in resolving team member, player disputes, or discrepancies in gaming activities and other property areas
- Works closely with the Director of Surveillance and the Surveillance management team in meeting departmental needs
- Conducts self in accordance with WCH purpose, expectation guide, and department procedures
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Job Requirements: (please ensure you meet the listed requirements prior to applying)
- High School diploma or GED required or currently enrolled and successfully complete a GED program within 6 months from start date as a condition of continued employment
- Must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older
- One (1) year of casino surveillance experience– required
- Two (2) years of surveillance/CCTV, loss prevention, investigations, law enforcement, or military experience- preferred
- Knowledge of Genetec security center platform and iView systems iTrak incident reporting module- preferred
- Knowledge of SDS, CMP, and econnect systems- preferred
- Must possess intermediate computer skills with Microsoft Word, basic math- preferred
- Must possess a high level of maturity with the ability to self-manage
- Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Demonstrated proficiency in English, spelling, punctuation, and writing composition
- Must possess excellent observation skills
- Willing to work odd and irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Willing to travel and participate in training as recommended or required
- Must have a valid and current State Driver’s License and an insurable driving record for purposes of driving company vehicles as required
- Must have an Occupational License (or the ability to obtain and maintain a license) pursuant to the Illinois Gaming Act and remain in good standing with the Illinois Gaming Board as a requirement for this position
