Bio: DJ Slash
DJ Slash began his career as a turntable specialist in 1983, spinning House, Dance, early Hip-Hop, and various other genres on 12-inch vinyl. An avid concert promoter throughout Northwest Indiana, he was also a founding member of the Bomb Squad DJs.
In the early 90s, DJ Slash shifted gears to become a premier graphic designer for the music industry.
Beyond the booth, DJ Slash is an active event organizer, including Fusic Fest, Salsa in the Park, and the Rhythm and Soul Fest in East Chicago.

Bio: DJ JAY iLLa
From emcee to b boy, Jay iLLa has dabbled in many facets of hip-hop before realizing that his true calling is on the decks. Motivated by his love of hip-hop and low-key nature, Jay is “The Introverted DJ,” citing Kid Capri and The Twilite Tone as two of his biggest influences. Early on, Jay honed his skills at a local record store located in Chicago. Coming from humble beginnings, he put in hours of practice, paying his dues. He soon developed a cult following!
Jay was able to climb the ranks of theChicago elite, spinning for and with legends in the music industry, such as Kanye West, Jay Z, and DJ Jazzy Jeff. As his status on the Chicago nightlife scene rose, Jay has secured many highly visible corporate clients.
In 2023, he was chosen as a part of a national campaign to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Hip Hop. He is responsible for setting the tone musically for the players and the over 60,000 fans that attend every Bears home game as well as any of their events.
Jay is dedicated to his craft and his love for music is evident in his musical selection!

With over 25 years in the business, Chicago native DJ Joe Kollege is known for being more than someone that spins records or ‘gets the party started’. On deck, he becomes the voice of the people; someone that ignites souls and paves the road to a listener’s fondest memories with unmatched selections of soul, house and hip-hop.
Joe Kollege has played for such media giants as Essence and Uptown Magazines, Hidden Beach Recordings, and opened for artists such as The Roots, PJ Morton, Al B. Sure!, Rueben Studdard, Special Ed, KRS ONE, Robin Thicke, Doug E. Fresh and Slick Rick. he has performed in front of thousands at TD Jakes’ “Woman Thou Art Loosed” conference and ONE Musicfest in Atlanta, GA. In addition, he has shared the turntables with Hip Hop Legends, Grandmaster Flash, Jazzy Jeff, Kid Capri, Questlove, Biz Markie and D-Nice. He has also opened for former President Bill Clinton and Hip Hop artist/actor Common. Joe Kollege has added ‘International DJ’ to his resumé, playing events in Montego Bay, Jamaica and Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.
