What is a Busy Body Retreats sound bath meditation?

Our signature sound bath is a meditative experience where you lay or sit on a mat, chair or sofa, close your eyes, and listen to the sounds of acoustic crystal bowls and chimes being played. The gentle vibrations wash over you, helping your body soften, your breath slow down, and your mind drift into a more relaxed, restorative state, without you needing to do anything at all.

Our guests share that they leave feeling calm, peaceful, inspired, and light. 

The layered tones and sustained vibrations gently guide the brain from beta (active thinking) into alpha and theta states, which are associated with relaxation, daydreaming, meditation, and deep rest.

This sound meditation practice is about creating the conditions where clarity, ease, and insight naturally arise. No experience is required. 

What to Bring

Mats, blankets, and pillows are provided. To make your experience extra cozy and supportive, we recommend bringing:

• An eye mask, bolster, or anything that helps you relax more fully

•A journal and pen if you’d like to use our monthly themed journal prompts, a book to read, and/or headphones to enjoy your own playlist at your leisure 

Please arrive 15-20 minutes early so you are unhurried while parking, changing into your swimwear, and settling into your ideal spot. 

This experience is a quiet evening to pause, breathe, and reset your entire being.
